To shave or not?

This post is a part of #WillYouShave activity at BlogAdda in association with Gillette

Shave or not is the question that pops around the mind of most of the young men there and I must tell you honestly that each time this question runs their mind, the answer is always “ I don’t have any important occasion or meeting lined up for this week, so let me skip this for now”. I can relate to this one very well because I have been through this phase of my life because of my dear husband and have now got over it after he was taught a lesson for a life time.

Well, I know most you out there must be wondering that it may be for an Interview or for our marriage that he decided to shave and it taught him a lesson for how it was important for him to shave then and how it got him to achieve success in life. So let me put a stop to all your curious minds there and tell you that this credit goes to the little princess in our life. Well, yes I am talking about our 5 year old daughter who is the reason behind the successful clean shave look of her father.
You may be wondering how, so it all started one night when Alia was with her father like she does every night after dinner, as he is the one who puts her to bed every night. So it was one of the usual routine, while Alia was on the bed and told her father “Daddy all my friends were teasing me in school today, that; your Dad looks so old and that he has so much hair on his face, and yet the other friend goes out pointing that my Dad looks so handsome and well dressed”. Well, this made our little princess upset and she ought to feel bad about this, especially when you are living in a metro and in an era where today the young kids understand everything well before their age and develop their own set of thoughts and opinions.

I am sure this touched Sagar (my husband) somewhere deeply and he wanted to make it up for his daughter, for you all know that daughters are the biggest gift to a father. And so was it for us and yes he decided and promised Alia to be clean shaven always and that he will also look young like her other friend’s fathers did. Our little one was content with this and went off to sleep. It was later when Sagar narrated me the entire instance did I know the reason why he decided to have himself shaved every day.

All thanks to my little one, for she did what even I was unable to do in all these years.

Shave that face to be in the race

This post is a part of #WillYouShave activity at BlogAdda in association with Gillette

To be in the race shave that face is the formula that my fried once applied. It's a dog race, don't you all agree? Be it for a job interview or be it for any auditions. For one post or for one role there will be thousands that they interview and audition. Well it's not wrong is what I believe everyone wants the best so would be the case.
This job interview that my friend was preparing for was his dream job, it was his dream to get associated with this company and that he thought this was his chance, He asked for help, I was glad to help him out! Right from what he would wear to what we would say was all planned. We discussed it all. His resume was checked about a trillion times. We had like various mock interviews before the actual. He did well in all, I was almost certain that he would nail it.
After so many days of preparations, the D-Day had finally come. Not just his job but also my treat was at stake and I very well deserved it after so much of help, didn't I? Before he could leave for the interview, I gave him a call to wish him luck. I just happen to ask him if he had shaved or not and he hadn't. I forced him to but he said that it wasn't relevant. Nobody would care if he had a stubble as long as he didn't fumble. He was being overconfident is what I thought and told him straight on his face. For my sake he shaved (he stills thanks me for it)

So once he got there, he realized that not just him but everybody there was very well prepared. He too was, he cleared all the rounds and finally it was the personal interview round where it was him and the other guy with a stubble who were to be interviewed. The other one was more confident then my friend but my friend got bonus points for having to listen to me. The interviewer clearly said while finally offering the job that how you present yourself matters the most for an interview and yayy my friend got the job and I got my treat.

#WillYouShave

This post is a part of #WillYouShave activity at BlogAdda in association with Gillette.

As a woman we have a lot of things to take care of before we go for any party, any night out, lunch or any other outing. Right from what to wear, what hairstyle looks best with it, how much makeup to wear, what bag to carry, which perfume to wear and blah and blah, ain't I right ladies?
So basically what we ladies have to do is so much more than what a man has to, no? Looking at what a man really has to do for any meeting or any outing is simply decide on their clothes, wear a perfume and voila they are all set to go..
But but there is a little something that is expected of a man besides that as well, any guesses? It's simply a clean shaved look, which is so much better than that stubble on a guys face which makes them look so much older and rugged.

Well it's different to every man, some like that stubble on their face while others prefer a clean shave look but what I have mostly seen is a clean shave looks works a lot better than a rugged look.
There is this one thing that my Dad always told me that a man who could do as little as shaving for you, he would be the man for you. Well what that meant was a true Gentleman would prefer to have that clean shaven look rather than that rugged and oh look at me kind of a look.
Besides every men (well every here means the ones I know) makes it a point to shave their stubble before any meeting, any important event, etc. Isn't that because they like that look more or they themselves believe that a clean shaven look is more gentle man like than their stubble.

In my opinion this should be made a practice and why not? It doesn't take too long and don't we girls make it a point to do our waxing and other stuff so even a man can and I strongly think he should. It's more of cleanliness and good hygiene than anything else plus it's a lot preferred too.

Winter Ready?

Greetings of the day!
With winter being just round the corner, I thought it became important for me to do a post on Winter Essentials. While the north is under the blanket during winters, winter doesn't bother Mumbaikars much. So we need not have our woolen jackets and stuff out as yet but a little reminders for all my lovely readers.

1. Moisturizer- It is an utmost essential item during winter. Your skin needs nourishment otherwise it will become dry and rough. You don't want to be teased like how they show in Ads, well I was only kidding. I know nobody really teases you that way but still for your own sake dry and rough skin is so not cool. So moisturize. Get a moisturizer today itself.
My favorite is Garnier Coco Butter and I also like Nivea Creme (reviewed in a post earlier) See it here- All time favorite

2. Lip balm- Chipped lips are the most uncool thing ever for a Fashionista. You got to take care of them. They tend to dry up really soon during winter so it becomes necessary to always keep a lip balm with yourself.
Vaseline is an all time favorite. I also like Baby Lips and I have this really cute bubble gum flavor lip balm which I am in love with. You could also get yourself your favorite lip balm and voila you would always want to keep it to yourself.

3.Jackets- This goes without saying actually. If you will feel cold you will obviously need one. So get them out from wherever they have been kept for so long and remember to wear trendy ones and not just basics please.

4. Scarf- They are trendy and very feminine. I absolutely adore cute prints like cupcakes, mustache, etc on scarves.
